a warm welcome
As schematic design was underway for Group Health Puyallup, Meyer Wells was approached by the project designers from Collins Woerman interested in the possibility of salvaging trees from the site for reuse in the building. With the scope of the project focused on lean design with a welcoming, “home-like” environment, weaving wood into the space was an easy choice.
Working with six truck loads of wood from the original site, we crafted several architectural wood products and site-furnishings including stair treads, wood walls, fireplace mantels, and exterior benches to suit the exact needs of the final design.
